Help detect, contain, and stop threats from spreading

• With our AI advances, you can now combine world class threat intelligence with point-in-time incident analysis and novel AI-based detections and analytics to identify and contain initial infections and help prevent them from spreading.

• Products such as VirusTotal use AI to help analyze and explain the behavior of potentially malicious scripts. Mandiant Breach Analytics for Chronicle uses generative AI to contextualize and summarize threats in your environment based on the latest threat intelligence from Mandiant.

Help reduce toil and manual work

• Generative AI can reduce much of the repetitive work that plagues cybersecurity practitioners. We are adding intelligence to help reduce the toil it takes to manage multiple environments, to generate security design and capabilities, and to generate security controls.

• Assured OSS, which takes on continuous open source software (OSS) vulnerability management — uses LLMs to help us cover significantly more packages in our program. Mandiant Threat Intelligence AI offers AI-powered capabilities that help summarize, assess, and prioritize threat data across proprietary and public sources.

Simplify security for experts and non-experts alike

• We anticipate that our generative AI will profoundly change how practitioners across skill levels “do” security. AI assistive features summarize complex threats, assess risk, and enable natural language search and investigation to help usher in a new era of effectiveness.

• Duet AI for Chronicle enables you to search your security events and interact conversationally with results, ask follow-up questions, and quickly generate detections.

• Security Command Center AI translates complex attack graphs to plain text explanations of attack exposure, including impacted assets and recommended mitigations.

When will Security AI Workbench features be available?

VirusTotal Code Insight, available now in Preview, is our first example of putting Security AI Workbench to work for our customers. We will be rolling out other offerings to trusted testers in coming months, and they will be available in Preview more broadly this summer.

What LLM is being used for Security AI Workbench?

Security AI uses a specialized security LLM, Sec-PaLM 2. The security model is trained on PaLM and fine-tuned for security use cases, incorporating our security intelligence such as Google’s visibility into the threat landscape and Mandiant’s frontline intelligence on vulnerabilities, malware, threat indicators, and behavioral threat actor profiles.

The Security AI Workbench lets customers make their private data available to the platform at inference time; in doing this, we honor our data privacy commitments to customers. This feature helps ensure you control your data.
