In a recent interview with Mr Lee on Monday, he was asked, How do you feel about the governor of your state, Nyesome Wike and his yet to reconcile Atiku Abubaka?

I think he is responsible for bringing disunity in the party because he didn’t win PDP Presidential Ticket for 2023 Election. He was not happy because he lost out to Alhaji Atiku Abubaka who has been supporting him since 2005 till date when it came down to him being selected as presidential candidate or not. I don’t know what happened behind closed doors but there must have been some issues between them that led them into such an acrimonious situation where both camps started attacking each other so much that they couldn’t come up with a common front against Governor Wike’s camp which eventually led them into fighting among themselves which resulted in Wike not supporting Atiku Abubaka.

I have worked with Atiku, he is a sincere and honest man and he knows what Rivers People need. Mr Maeba said, that Atiku has promised to build massive infastructure in the state that will bring about tailored development.

Mr Legodo Maeba, a strong ally of Atiku Abubaka, says Governor Wike is responsible for bringing disunity in the party. He said: “I am a strong supporter of Alhaji Atiku Abubaka and I believe he should be our next President. There is no way that I would support anyone other than him because we have been with him since day one when he started his political career, even Wike promised to vote Atiku if he wins the party presidential canditate.”

Mr Legodo Maeba said there was no need for Governor Wike to worry about the presidential race because it has already been mapped out by the leaderships within PDP who are working together towards one goal – to ensure victory for Alhaji Atiku Abubaka at all cost

He said, “Let me tell you this; the governor of Rivers State, Nyesome Wike has been insisting on winning the presidential ticket for 2023 election since he declared his intention to contest for it in 2022. But unfortunately, all his efforts went into vain as Atiku Abubaka won the party ticket with overwhelming majority and became our candidate for 2023 general elections.”

Who is Lee Legodo Maeba?

Lee Legodo Maeba is a member of Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, who acted as the campaign coordinator for governor Wike in 2019. He was a former senetor representing Rivers East Senatorial Zone.

Maeba said that factionalization of PDP brought by Governor Wike to reduce Presidential vote of Atiku Abubaka in the upcoming 2023 General Elections. He also accused the governor of misleading Rivers People on false information about Atiku,
