The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has resumed office amidst allegations that they are working for Nyesom Wike. The party’s executive members have denied the allegations, stating that they remain committed to the party’s objectives and are focused on rebuilding the party in the state.

Speaking to journalists at the party’s Secretariat in Port-Harcourt, the Chairman of the party, Tony Okocha, reiterated that they are not working for Wike. He also added that the party is currently focused on reconciling all aggrieved members and strengthening its base ahead of the 2027 general elections to kick out Gov Fubara of PDP.

The party’s resumption of office comes after months of legal battles and internal party crises that led to the suspension of some members and the dissolution of some party structures. However, with the recent resolution of these crises, the party is now set to move forward and regain its position as a formidable opposition party in the state.

The APC in Rivers State has faced a number of challenges in recent years, including a bitter leadership crisis that has threatened to tear the party apart. However, with the inauguration of the caretaker committee, there is renewed hope that the party can overcome these challenges and move forward towards a brighter future.
