The Labour Party Presidential ticket is no more reserved for Peter Obi , it is now open to all party members – Julius Abure

Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), has declared that the party’s presidential ticket for the 2027 election is no longer reserved for Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election. This decision effectively opens up the ticket for any qualified Nigerian within the party to contest for the position. This shift in policy was announced following a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, indicating a change from an earlier decision where the ticket was exclusively reserved for Peter Obi.
