  3. Ubah was a Nigerian politician, entrepreneur, and businessman.
  4. He served as a Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate until his death on July 27, 2024.
  5. Ubah was the CEO of Capital Oil (CCO), which he founded in 2001.
  6. The company’s facilities and outlets are primarily located in the Southeast and Southwest regions of Nigeria, with one of the largest tank farms for petroleum product storage and distribution in Lagos.
  7. Ubah was married to Uchenna Ubah, a Business Administration graduate from Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria.
  8. He was a key player in the oil and gas industry in Nigeria, operating in downstream operations.
  9. Ubah was also the owner of Ifeanyi Ubah F.C., a Nigerian football club.
  10. In 2014, he unsuccessfully contested the Anambra gubernatorial election under the Labour Party platform.
  11. On February 24, 2019, Ubah was declared the winner of the Anambra South Senatorial elections under the Young Progressive Party (YPP) platform, but later defected to Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
