Vertessen’s PSV equaliser settles thrilling contest against Arsenal
Arsenal dominated most of the half’s, but lacks the finishing touches. The final results means that both teams are through to the next stage of the Champions League rounds of 16. Arsenal finishes top of Group B with 13pts while PSV 2nd with 9pts.
Before the end of first half, Eddie Nketiah scores his first Champions League goal against PSV, it’s very nicely taken. Nelson and Cedric combine crisply down the right. Arsenal made eight changes to the team that started the 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa on Saturday night. William Saliba, Gabriel and Kai Havertz are the only players who remain.
Aaron Ramsdale gets a run-out in goal, making his Champions League debut, allowing new number-one David Raya to put his feet up for the evening. Alongside Raya on the bench: Emile Smith Rowe, who returns from injury and could feature for the first time since October, and academy prospects Ethan Nwaneri, Reuell Walters and Lino Sousa.

Mohamed Elneny suffered a hamstring injury during the campions league match between PSV vs Arsenal. He was taken out and replaced by Odegaard. According to Mikel Arteta, Elneny would be out for 4 weeks.
